Educational Technology Projects
Vodcasting
This Vodcast was created to fulfill the requirements of my Educational Technology class (ETAD 470) at the University of Saskatchewan. My creation is in regards to the benefits of Arts Education on the student as a whole person. In this Vodcast I interview Caroline Howarth, whose connection is from the perspective of the Drama strain of Arts Education. This was posted on my blog March 4, 2013.

Although my first Vodcast was more challenging to put together properly, the second was a breeze. Arts Education is my passion, so after receiving compliments about the topic area I chose for Vodcast #1, I decided to make this into a series that involves all four strains of Arts Education. In this I interview Wayne Toews whose perspective is of the Music strain. This was published March 11, 2013 on my blog.

Draft - Acceptable Use Policy and Guidelines
|
|
These policies and guidelines were created by myself, Josiah Chamberlin, Cheyne Dallyn, Bill Kapphahn and Janelle Olchowy. They were created in Google Docs and involved using Google Drive and collaborating via Google Hangouts. It was a new and interesting challenge working together without physically being in the same space, it definitely challenged and broadened by perspectives on the nature and possibilities of classroom collaboration. Although, I won't be doing this exact assignment with students in the future, I can see using this to have students work virtually with other classrooms in different locations. It would be a way of connecting learning and having students see how students in different places may think differently or the same as themselves and on how some concepts can appear as universal.
